Grace Atlantic Corp. was founded by W.R. "Bill" Grace in 1984 following a manufacturing and sales management career with Fruehauf Division. Bill was also a region marketing director for Polar Tank Trailer. Grace Atlantic Corp. focused on tank trailer sales and rentals, and in 1998 the rental fleet (approx. 600 units) was sold to Matlack Leasing. During a term of non-compete Grace established Grace Tarr Corp. (GTC) an ASME tank trailer repair facility in South Jersey, partnered with shop foreman Roy Tarr.. In 2007, Grace Atlantic Corp. opened a plant in Harrisburg, PA and obtained repair and manufacturing authorization from ASME. The focus has been re barrels and major reconstruction, sales of used equipment ,and parts.
Used and New tanks are available for sale or lease and full ASME shop facilities are available for repairs, re barrel, and specialty fabrication.
